1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Async Digital Solutions (“we”, “us” or “our”) processes information through DocuPrime: PDF Scan & Sign (the “App”), package com.docscanner.pdf.converter. It applies to the Android app and related support services.
Please do not send sensitive documents by email when contacting support. Describe the issue and use a redacted example only if necessary.
2. Information we process
Depending on the features you choose, we may process:
- Account information: such as your name, email address, login credentials or sign-in tokens when you create an account or use supported sign-in options.
- App activity and diagnostics: feature interactions, screen events, app version, device type, operating system, crash and performance information.
- Purchase information: subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to provide premium features. Payments are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Notification data: device notification tokens and notification preferences when you enable reminders or push notifications.
- Advertising information: ad impressions, interactions, approximate location inferred from IP address, and device or diagnostic information used by Google Mobile Ads, subject to your region and consent choices. The App is configured not to request Android Advertising ID permission.
- Electronic-signature service information: account, recipient, document-status and workflow information needed when you request or complete signatures.
3. Documents, scans and signatures
The App may access your camera, photos and files when you ask it to scan, import, edit, sign, save or share a document. Locally created files and saved signatures remain on your device unless you choose a cloud, sharing, backup, account-based electronic-signature, or other network feature. When such a feature is used, the selected files and necessary workflow data are transmitted to that service to complete your request.
Document and signature screens may be masked or excluded from session-replay capture. You should still avoid processing material you are not authorised to store or share.
4. Permissions
- Camera: capture documents and images.
- Photos, media or files: import and save supported content.
- Internet and network state: accounts, cloud imports, signature workflows, ads, analytics, notifications and other online features.
- Notifications and boot completion: deliver and restore reminders you enable.
- Billing: offer and manage Google Play subscriptions or purchases.
5. Third-party services
The App may integrate services that process information under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Google: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Google Play Billing and Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
- Microsoft: Clarity analytics/session insights and OneDrive.
- Meta and TikTok: limited app-event measurement. Automatic/codeless events and advertising-identifier collection are configured as disabled.
- Dropbox: file import when you connect your Dropbox account.
- Apple: supported sign-in or platform services where available.
Your use of a connected provider is also governed by that provider’s privacy policy. We do not sell your personal documents.
6. Why information is used
We use information to provide requested features, authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, deliver notifications, maintain security, diagnose problems, improve usability, measure marketing performance, show and measure ads, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Retention and security
Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including account operation, legal compliance, dispute resolution and security. Files stored locally remain until you delete them or the App. Connected providers may retain data according to their policies. We use reasonable safeguards, but no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
You may manage camera, photo, file and notification permissions in Android Settings; control connected cloud accounts; manage ad-consent choices where offered; and manage subscriptions through Google Play. You may request access, correction or deletion of applicable personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your request and may retain information when legally required.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in the user’s jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
10. International processing and changes
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Applicable safeguards are used where required. We may update this policy as the App, providers or law changes; the effective date above identifies the latest version.
